I greatly enjoy engaging and mentoring new emerging composers. I never thought I would have the opportunity to be able to open a world of possibilities to so many in composing music for the moving image.
IU Film Scoring Degree Program
Starting in Fall of 2019 I expand my scoring program at Jacobs school of music at Indiana University to a Master degree, a Doctoral minor, an undergraduate minor and two certificate degrees. I am adding great adjunct professors from LA and elsewhere to really be that alternative choice for Scoring in academia.
Palomar Film Music Workshops
The original idea behind Palomar Film Music Workshops was my own little cabin on top of Palomar Mountain in California. Going with that idea of a retreat atmosphere in the country is what led to the this extremely successful summer scoring workshop. With over 80 students coming thorough our doors we are now an event that is recognized world wide.
Film Scoring Lecture Series
It all began for me when I started a lecture tour of conservatories, music departments, and colleges across the country. I picked at random an eastern tour, a midwestern tour, a western tour and a southern tour. All destinations welcomed me to share my experience in Hollywood and to engage students and faculty from afar in the fascinating process of scoring movies and television.
